I’ve read these and similar views many times on various blogs, news sites, Facebook pages:
“I don’t think it’s as cut and dry as people think, or someone would be in jail right now.”
“I don’t believe there’s that much evidence. He’d be arrested if there was.”
“If Trista was so sure Ayla was deceased, and she had evidence, why was there no movement at all? Why were statements like “Justin is free to go just like you and I” made.”
Sometimes even people under suspicion from the public and/or LE will make similar statements:
“I’m not going to answer any questions about it, but I will say this: If there was something there, I don’t think I’d be standing here with you right now.” Justin DiPietro
Here are just a few of the many, many cases where there is a missing or deceased child. For most, if not all, there is a person or persons of interest either named by LE or presumed to be “of interest” by the public due to the evidence presented. There are some where who is responsible seems pretty clear and there has been no arrest as of yet. In some cases there were arrests/convictions on a lesser charge (Gabriel Johnson, Skelton Brothers) or a charge unrelated to the child’s disappearance that resulted in prison time (Haleigh Cummings, Aliayah Lunsford). There are some where a Grand Jury voted to indict but no charges were filed (JonBenet Ramsey) and some where the family had to take to social media and organize a petition drive to get results (Juliette Geurtz).
JonBenet Ramsey – deceased 12/26/1996
Parents indicted by a Grand Jury, Prosecutor did not act on the indictment. No one has ever been charged.
Sabrina Aisenberg – missing since Nov. 24, 1997
Andrew, Alexander, Tanner Skelton – missing since November 25, 2010
Juliette Geurtz – deceased July 11, 2008
Brought in front of a Grand Jury in January 2013 after a petition drive and pressure from the paternal family.
Haleigh Cummings – missing since 2/2009
Gabriel Johnson – missing since sometime in Dec 2009
Kyron Horman – missing since 6/4/2010
Hailey Dunn – missing since 12/2/2010 Remains found March 16, 2013
Aliayah Lunsford – missing since 9/24/2011
Lisa Irwin – missing since 10/3/2011
Sky Metalwala – missing since 11/6/2011
Ayla Reynolds – missing since 12/17/2011
Isabel Celis – missing since 4/21/2012
Dylan Redwine – missing since 11/19/2012 Partial Remains found June 2013
Evan Dudley – deceased 11/7/2012
Just because there has been no arrest made in a case does not mean there is an absence of evidence nor does it point to anyone’s innocence.
