I was thinking today about the emotional roller coaster Trista has been through since December 17, 2011.
We can’t begin to understand the depth of anguish she’s endured. We’ve watched from the sidelines as one hope after another has been destroyed and yet today, we see a woman of strength and determination. A mother who will never stop until she knows what happened to her daughter.
I went back to some of the earliest news reports and came across this video. With tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat I heard Trista say “I didn’t wanna fight no more.” Can you imagine? Trista was already worn down by all the fighting almost six years ago.
We have watched her continue to fight for Ayla over the years with little to no victory. Well it would seem that things are about to change. You can’t keep fighting for years without developing endurance, learning new techniques, strengthening those muscles, and exposing your opponents’ weakness. The gloves are off and woe to anyone who gets in Trista’s way.
