Mother’s Trial For Aliayah Lunsford’s Murder

18 Apr

How many remember when little Aliayah was reported missing? Then the pictures starting coming out. The sadness in her eyes broke the hearts of everyone who saw the images of her bruised little face.

The trial for her murder started Monday and I’ve tried to follow along. Her mother has several charges.

From WV MetroNews

A grand jury indicted Lena Lunsford in March 2017. She stands officially charged with one count of murder of a child by parent, guardian or custodian or other person by refusal or failure to necessities, one count of death of a child by parent, guardian, custodian or other person by child abuse, one count of child abuse resulting in injury and one count of concealment of a deceased human body.

From what I’ve read so far, Aliayah’s sisters came forward with information in 2016. Their mother had made them promise to never tell but they finally were able to break free from their silence. This case is hard for me to follow but I will add more information and details when I can. Please post articles and links to help keep us updated. This article from WSAZ is full of details for those who haven’t heard about Aliayah or for those who wish to catch up on what has happened. It is updated daily. Praying for justice for Aliayah!

Thanks MM for the update. It’s good that justice has started. Thank God that the other children seem to be in a good family now.

Utter sadness for Aliayah. For the type of life Aliayah’s parents gave her, especially the mother. And utter sadness for the taking away of Aliayah’s very own young life. Never to have had a chance to grow up and have any say or choices. When Aliayah was murdered, she was still at an age that a child is 100% percent dependent on his or her parents.

Aliayah’s sister who talked to her adopted father – is truly a wonderful hero. She not only expressed fear for her own life, she knew and is saying all that her mother did as a mother to Aliayah, WAS WRONG. Aliayah’s sister standing up for her little sister and telling what she knows including publicly testifying in court, is right and brave. Testifying against a parent must be very emotional. I hope all of Aliayah’s siblings now feel safe and that their own lives/worlds are better. Let’s hope legal justice is done for Aliayah and also for her siblings and all who care about Aliayah.

Mama thank you for all you share here ! ❤

It is a relief. Some justice for Aliayah, for a little girl who did not deserve to live the very sad life her mother and father gave her, then her mother took her little girls life away permanently. I feel so grateful to all involved in helping to get Aliayah her legal justice and bringing out the truth. I hope this also will help Aliayah’s siblings and other loved ones deal with Aliayah’s murder.

I just keep praying that we have heard nothing because the police have something they are working on.
For a child to die and be hidden, a crime happened.

Happy Mother’s Day to Trista. She is a loving mother with beautiful children. I hope she celebrated this today with her sons. I know Ayla was with her in spirit.

My kids never got to walk anywhere because we are in the country on a dead end road. Growing up we had several mom’s that did not work and they watch this street like a hawk. Now the grandkids that are living with me will have the same experience as their mom. I pray they catch the person or persons that did this. DNA has come a long way so alot of old cold cases are being reopen.

The only thing I hate is that we all are not safe even in our own home. These school shooting and random shooting made me start carrying a little pocket knife because I am scared of guns. Sucker shits shoots me I am going to stab them. I know you don’t take a knife to a gun fight but it’s the only thing I feel comfortable with. If it gets any crazier I may resort to a gun but for now that is it.

It’s also strange that my bff and I were going down to Galveston Tx to stay for a few days but her dad passed so we cancelled. The Santa Fe school shooting is in Galveston County. We would not be close to it but they had endured Hurricane Harvey and now this. Prayers for these parents that have to wake up to another day without their child being there and the kids that have been fighting for their own lives. Reading some of their stories were heartbreaking. They too have to walk back into class without some of their friends.

I’m so happy Aliayah ‘s mom was found guilty. Just one of many horrible cases that I follow.

I’m so proud of her sister for telling what she knew. I hope she can now feel safe.

Praying now that Lindsey Baum’s body has been found that the person or persons involved will be punished and of course I’m praying that Ayla is found. Such beautiful children that didn’t deserve what happened to them.
