Thank you MM for the Post.

With what is in the indictment papers, why did it take so long for action?

Thank You mama. I came here right away knowing you would have the info. I have not read anything yet, but what you posted above, about the evidence the police say they have, it sounds like they are going to nail this monster father’s a***. Justice for Dylan and those who love and care about him.

A prosecutor from the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office was part of a team that presented evidence to a La Plata grand jury that led to the indictment and arrest Saturday of Mark Redwine in the death of his son, Dylan Redwine.

La Plata County spokeswoman Megan Graham confirmed that the prosecutor was involved and identified the Boulder prosecutor as Deputy District Attorney Fred Johnson.

snipped: In November 2013, hikers found Dylan Redwine’s skull about 1.5 miles from the area where the rest of his body had been discovered. Investigators determined that injuries to the skull were consistent with blunt force trauma.

***Brandon Redwine, Mark Redwine’s half brother, told police that Mark Redwine told him shortly after the first set of remains was recovered that police would have to find the skull before they could determine a cause of death. ***
along with the other evidence this is such a damning thing to say.

I am always shocked when there is so much evidence and it still takes so long for an arrest to happen. Justice for Dylan.

    Thanks MM for the post.

I think money, in and of itself, is one big issue. And then there really is differences among us.on how we look at circumstantial evidence. Then there is the fact some prosecutors only take solid 100% cases for their own records.

In this case, it seems maybe the area did not or does not believe they are equipped:to take on this case, (from same article mama posted above.):
“Garnett said the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office also sent a prosecutor, and former Boulder police Detective Chuck Heidel was also involved in the case.

He said it’s not uncommon for larger jurisdictions like Boulder County to send prosecutors to more rural judicial districts that don’t have the same level of staffing and expertise, to help out on cases”

Mark Redwine faces judge in Washington after being arrested in son’s death

Dylan’s mom thinks a change in leadership helped to have Redwine arrested.
I guess you never know when someone will come along and things will start moving in a case like this.

A gun was found and the trial delayed. There are so many people connected to this case that may know something and very little hard evidence. It has been a circus and not as well handled as it should have been.

    http://crimefeed.com/2017/07/why-did-it-take-almost-five-years-to-arrest-dylan-redwines-dad-for-his-murder/

It really seems like most DA’s want that slam dunk case. Finding a murder weapon is apparently a large piece of evidence. When so much blood is found in a house, I would think that would be enough to convince jurors that a child was murdered. But it is not.
