Wow! Maybe Courtney thought everything was just normal, one foot in fornt of another. Her family sounds pretty rough.

Makes you wonder what “normal” is to the children in these families doesn’t it?

Sure does MM. Is “normal” daddy being in jail? Drugs being sold and consumed by mommy, daddy, aunt, uncle, cousins? Is the violence that comes with this lifestyle the norm for the poor kids in these families?

Yes, Dee, it does appear to be the norm. If we’re all honest with ourselves, we’ll recognize the normal for Trista and her children is no different. There are so many children subjected to this kind of insane lifestyle 😦

After reading this I find it hard to believe that Courtney’s fear of Justin has kept her from speaking for Ayla.

Justin is a wimp comparatively. If these are the people she grew up with and around I can’t imagine her being afraid of Justin either. I can imagine him being afraid of her family however.

Could this then be what Angela was referring to?

His girlfriend’s family and support network is in Portland where she also has a day job and continues her college education at night.”

It looks like a competition over which family in Portland contains more criminals…

There are 25 arrests after Ayla went missing. Way more than before. Were some of the arrests the result of surveillance of Courtney?

The uptick in arrests could be due to the huge federal drug investigation (or 2?) going on. But if you look at who the common links are, an awful lot are Courtney and Briana’s relatives.

For a long time, LE wouldn’t tell who was in the home that night. Wonder how many of the arrests happened during that time period? I always thought it strange they wouldn’t tell who the non family member was.

What about lance and people related to justin. We have heard all kinds of rumors. Does this family have a history of violence?

We know about Lance Karen but I haven’t heard much else about Justin’s family, not as far as arrests and convictions in the media or online.

One of the problems with tracing that out is I’ve never heard who the fathers are. Each of the children carries Phoebe’s last name.

This is disgusting. So sad for this family.

I have no education or training in human behavior.

Personally, I truly don’t understand how Courtney seems so comfortable never publicly speaking about the hell of having a child mysteriously disappear during the night while she (CR) was present in the home. And also while her very own child was present at the time.

She has never felt the need to tell the public anything personal about Ayla. And just as bad, it seems CR while on the Internet, just went on with life without a blip.

I do not count the little love fest blog for Justin if she spoke out there. I mean to the public at large. To help the public to know and care about Ayla so she (Ayla) would stay on everyone’s mind.

Even if CR is being legally savy, come on, where is her human-ness, not even one time sharing with the public or community something about her own feelings and thoughts for and about Ayla?

COLD – something is not right.

Both Phoebe and Courtney, poor Ayla, have they ever worried about Ayla’s welfare?

How can any human being laugh at a parent of a missing child

My opinion, my own restrained thoughts on Courtney Roberts.

I do too CG. All the sealed documents and MSP saying next to nothing about Ayla’s investigation. After 28 months all we know about that night is the three who were in the home and it was a normal night.

        And remember what Jeff said.

The Maine State police are still conducting interviews (and re-interviews) with anyone who knew or was associated with the Dipietro clan and due to an increased amount of activity at the Dipietro’s home the week before Ayla disappeared, there is suspect of drug related causes.

And a big question in my mind is if there were drug connections would they be Portland or Waterville based? He had not been back in Waterville all that long.

What were they thinking to want to keep Ayla. It makes me even more angry to think about what their normal days were like. It’s so sad.

Karen I still think Phoebe is the one who wanted to keep Ayla. It’s possible she didn’t realize all that was going on with Justin in the beginning.

OT – Sources have told Channel 4 that charges are expected to be filed against a second individual in the 2011 disappearance of nursing student Holly Bobo.

A special grand jury will be meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Decatur County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says it will be holding a news conference at 4 p.m. on Tuesday to announce “new and significant developments” in the case.

Adams, the only person who has been arrested in the case, is charged with kidnapping and murder. He is also facing a coercion of witness charge.

Adams appeared in court on Tuesday for the coercion charge.

It was learned in court on Tuesday that Adams’ brother told investigators he saw Bobo alive in Adams’ home after she disappeared. Adams’ brother plans on testifying against him during trial.

It’s really scary how many people knew about Holly Bobo. I wonder how many will be arrested. I really wonder if Ayla’s case is the same way. One day they will have a knock on the door and all will have to come out.

It’s too bad his brother didn’t notify authorities at the time instead of testifying against him after the fact.

It’s frightening to think how many may have been in a position to say something or do something to save her life, yet no one did. Not for 3 long years.

“Information from “several witnesses” led to charges against Autry, Gwyn said.

Investigators “believe there are more people with information and possible involvement,” Gwyn said. He told reporters to “expect more announcements in the coming days and weeks.”

“These individuals know who they are, and I’m sure they are watching, and they can expect us to be on their doorstep pretty soon,” Gwyn said”

I am so thankful that the truth is coming out. I hope her body is found soon so her family has closure.
In Ayla’s case I believe it’s only a matter of time until someone arrest brings some ansers and the whole thing begains to unravel.

Karen, I agree that if there’s an arrest in Ayla’s case, there will be unraveling. And the arrest could be for a drug crime or any other serious crime, not just an Ayla-related arrest.

He is a longtime friend of Adams.

A special grand jury met Tuesday in Decatur County and returned indictments of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder against Jason Wayne Autry, 39, in Bobo’s disappearance.

Off topic a bit…but I just watched a Discovery Channel Investigation on the murder of Jessica Lunsford. Even when Mark Lunsford, her father, was under suspicion in her disappearance, Lunsford gave press conferences EVERY DAY during the investigation. Even if his interviews and press conferences were held to just thank his neighbors and community for their help in trying to find his daughter, he was out there doing everything he could to keep his daughter’s name before the public.

After his daughter’s murderer was caught, Mark Lunsford became an activest and worked tirelessly to get Jessica’s Law passed. Due to his efforts some form of Jessica’s Law is now in , I believe, 47 states. That law leaves less loopholes for sexual predators to commit crimes, be released from prison (often early), and commit those same crimes over and over again.

On topic a bit more…why would CR want to get a degree in criminal justice? Perhaps she feels guilty about certain associations in her family and wants to take a different path than they? (Cough.)

I think it’s important not to assume guilt simply by association. In this case, the number of arrests and the seriousness of many of them and the continued association do seem to communicate something.
